Closing ceremony of the diocesan summer children's camp 2022

The "Mesrop Mashtotz" summer camp 2022 of our diocese, in which 45 children between 8-14 years from different cities in Germany took part, ended on Sunday, August 7th.

The conclusion of the 8-day summer camp was a concert prepared by the participating children, at which they performed several songs. After the concert, our Primate, HE Bishop Serovpé Isakhanyan, addressed the children and parents present and underlined the importance of the summer camp for the Armenian education of the children. For 8 days, the children, who had been strangers to each other, were able to get to know each other, make friends, learn together, play, sing, do sports, etc.

At the end of the event, the bishop and the organizers distributed certificates of participation and certificates of winning of the sports games.

On behalf of the primate and the diocesan advisory board, we would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the organization and successful implementation of the summer camp. Special thanks to organizing team members Rev. Gnel and Rev. Aygik, team leader Ms. Shakeh Zeynalian, team members and teachers Naira Shakhsuvaryan and Arpine Grigoryan, team member and music teacher Anush Nazaryan, team members and exercise and games officer Armen Mkheyan and Sergei Movsisyan.

We pray for the peace of mind of Sossy Scheier-Altibarmakian, who passed away a few months ago. For many years she was responsible for and the main organizer of our summer camps. In accordance with the wishes of the family of the deceased, the donations made at the time of her funeral were intended for the organization of the summer camp. Her family doubled these donations, so that a large part of the costs of the summer camp could be covered, whereby the families of the participating children only contributed a third of the actual costs. Incense and prayer to the blessed memory of Sossy!

We are pleased that a few more donations have also been made. We thank Pastor Dr. Diradur Sardaryan for his efforts to secure public funds for the summer camp. Thanks also to the Cakmakci family and Moghaddasian for your supporting donations.

All a hearty God bless you! To all the children who participated and to all those who will be joining us next year, we say "See you next year!"
