Dear compatriots and friends, sisters and brothers,

in the early morning of September 27, 2020, Azerbaijani forces again violated the ceasefire and launched large-scale military operations along the entire Azerbaijani-Karabakh line of contact and bombed various settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh, even the capital Stepanakert. There are sacrifices. The Artsakh Defense Army, of course, responded to the attacks and gave the attacker an appropriate response. The military clashes continue.

The Diocese of the Armenian Church strongly condemns the military aggression of Azerbaijan. True to her mission and work, she naturally wishes that any hostilities should be stopped immediately. There is no alternative to peace. All sides do not need new victims. Every victim is one more.

At the same time, we call on the international community and, as the Armenian Apostolic Church in Germany, on the federal government to condemn the military aggression of Azerbaijan and to actively work to end the military conflict. In the 21st century, the law of violence can have no place in conflict resolution.

The Diocese of the Armenian Church in Germany would like to give our sisters and brothers in Artsakh their moral and material support and is calling for a fundraising campaign. You can provide your financial support either via Facebook or by bank transfer to the us account:
