Longtime servant of our church, Deacon Kevork Senyar, died in Frankfurt at the age of 84.

Deacon Kevork Senyar (Giragosyan) was born on August 1, 1938 in Istanbul. Already as a 5-year-old child he had started to serve in the church as an acolyte. In 1962 he moved to Germany and again found a home in the Church and served in various congregations. From 1968 to 1975 he was a board member of the Armenian Cultural Association in Frankfurt and of the Hanau Armenian Community.

On November 21, 1993 he was ordained a deacon by the then Primate of our diocese, Bishop Bekdjian, and served in our parishes in Hanau, Frankfurt, Mainz and Gießen until the last months of his life.

Deacon Kevork laid his spirit in the hands of his Maker on August 1, 2022, precisely on his 84th birthday.
